GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Energy Meter produced by Filippetti Group is a Low Power wireless sensor, minimally invasive, for the measurement of energy consumption. Thanks to the battery power supply, the system can be easily installed at any point, being completely free from the need for cables to be led for the power supply.

Thanks to the integrated UHF wireless radio module, the Energy Meter is able to transmit the measurements (exclusively through the Filippetti Group Smart Network) to the proprietary IoT Smart Platform (or third-party platforms), for remote monitoring in real time.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES

COMMUNICATION: SMART NETWORK PROTOCOL

Through UHF wireless communication (FSK modulation), with a Filippetti Group gateway it is possible to monitor the current values in real time. Moreover, thanks to the intelligence on board the IoT Smart Platform, it is also possible to obtain a real-time estimate of the energy consumption of the monitored equipment.

SPECIFIC MEASURES: CURRENT

By using current clamps, the system can perform up to 8 current measurements simultaneously (single/differential mode). Depending on the type of TA probe used, the sensor can read output signals, in current or voltage, with a resolution linked to the integrated ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter) (10 bit).

The system can be equipped with current measurement probes, which provide output (Current Probe) or voltage (Voltage Probe). The readings are transmitted via radio to the network devices (e.g. the Filippetti Group gateway) for data collection and subsequent processing.

The following probes can be purchased in the catalogue:

  • Voltage probe (100A – 200A – 250A – 800A – 1000A – 2000A)

POWER SUPPLY: by BATTERY

The node is powered by two 2.2 Ah batteries (with a nominal voltage of 3.6 V), which guarantee an average duration of 3 years, variable according to use.

Configurable parameters:

The system, by default, is able to make and transmit measurements every 2 minutes. However, these values can be configured as specified in the table.
