Ability to assign a system to a status, perform simulations and diagnostics.

The IoT Smart Platform integrates the most advanced technologies for probabilistic data analysis, through the use of runtime libraries that implement the Bayesian logic, thus ensuring the possibility of having a simplified view of the system. The IoT Smart Platform also uses the Functional Sensor layer to enable system simulation and diagnostics by allowing simulated, multi-level measurements to be inserted into the system’s behaviour model.

Action and Reaction.

The system allows modelling of a reactive behaviour and proactive monitoring of the measured quantities and states of the modelled system. The IoT Smart Platform provides a set of standard libraries for the management of sensors and some of the analysed usage cases.  Like the other levels of the Platform, the monitoring libraries can also be enriched by proprietary logics developed by Partners. It is possible to define complex monitoring rules based on drool language that uses a specific syntax for its definition of facts and actions through Complex Event Processing (CEP) nodes, expressly provided to meet this need.

The entire IoT Smart Platform has a by-design structure for multitenant data and access management. The authentication protocols adopted are the standard for IoT solutions: Saml and OAUT2. A complete ACL system on the individual data streams and on the user’s interface navigation menus allow a punctual controlled access to the data and a user experience that is contextualized to one’s role.

MANAGEMENT

The module provides implemented solutions with the ability to support the deployment of numerous field devices, census them, geo-reference them, monitor them and configure them. The field sensors, natively compatible with SmartNetwork (or third-party), can be controlled in terms of availability, frequency of communication and control of internal diagnostic parameters, in order to support the maintenance activities of network elements through an advanced proactive monitoring system. In addition to the data streams of the individual sensors, the entire data collection network and signal levels between the various network nodes are also constantly analysed, as well as the availability of edge computing logic processing nodes. Gateways ensure a widespread activity of recording and analysis of the activities of the field component of our IoT solutions.

One of the main technologies behind IoTSmartPlatform is the support to the communication protocols of the Machine2Machine (M2M) type IoT. IoTSmartPlatform adopts the MQTT protocol as an open standard protocol to support integration, in order to implement paradigms in Smart Cities.

It is available in both “Java” and “.Net” versions and constitutes a complete integration library that wraps the Rest API and the Parsers of the SmartDevice format, allowing a fast adoption of IoTSmartPlatform technology in other software projects and making the basic technologies illustrated above transparent to the developer.

API REST

IoTSmartPlatform supports the Http Rest communication protocol as an access point to the integration API (with other applications) and in general between the various modules of the Platform itself.
